Prenatal Consultations
If you are expecting a baby, you probably have a lot of questions. We’re here to help. Expectant parents are invited to schedule a prenatal consultation with one of our pediatricians. This is your opportunity to speak one-to-one with your baby’s future pediatrician and tour our office. While your baby won’t be delivered here, our physicians are able to see newborns at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
Comprehensive and Preventive Health Care Starting at Birth
Well-child examinations are important in early detection of problems having to do with your child's health and development. Each child sees his or her pediatrician for well visits. These visits provide time to review your child’s nutritional needs, growth and development, sleep habits, school progress and any other concerns. A complete physical examination is performed, immunizations given, and developmental changes discussed. Preschool and school-age children will have a hearing test, vision exam and language assessment. This is a good time to ask questions you may have regarding your child's health, growth and development.
Hospital Care
Our location at the Franciscan Hospital for Children provides us the opportunity to connect our patients with specialists, as needed, who work onsite. Thanks to our proximity to the hospital’s digital imaging and onsite laboratory, x-rays, ultrasounds and diagnostics can be done quickly and efficiently from our office. We also work very closely with Boston Children’s Hospital, Tufts Medical Center and Mass General Hospital for specialty services that are not available at Franciscan Hospital for Children.
