Chit-Chat Summer Camp >>Is it right for my child?

The Chit-Chat Summer Camp is child appropriate. If your child is eligible for camp, he or she will be able to:

1. Participate in a structured activity for 15 minutes or longer
2. Feel comfortable participating in an activity unassisted
3. Tolerate changes in schedule and transition easily between activities
4. Independently access his/her communication device
5. Enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, games and pretend play
6. Tolerate lots of noise

Each camper must be accompanied by a family member or caregiver who will also participate in camp activities. Examples of high-tech communication devices may include the DynaVox V, MT4, Tango!, or Express, Tobii ATI Mercury or MiniMerc, and Prentke Romich Company Vantage or Vanguard; however a variety of devices exist.
