Kennedy Day School

Kennedy Day School offers a unique combination of integrated special education, therapeutic and health services to students, ages 3 to 22, with multiple, intensive special needs and challenges. Individual student needs in areas such as communication, mobility, motor control, vision, hearing, cognition and/or fragile health are addressed by each student’s interdisciplinary team.

From preschool to high school, small and supportive class groupings offer remedial and compensatory instructional strategies and integrate a full array of specialized services. Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for each student are developed through cooperative planning with the student’s family and sending school district to address the unique needs of the learner.

Educational plans outline coordinated service components that may include Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychology Services, Reading Therapy, Augmentative Communication/Assistive Technology Evaluation, Speech/Hearing/Language Therapy, Adapted Physical education, Music Therapy, Vocational Education, Family Resource Services and Nursing/Health Services.

With more than 40 years of experience and a reputation for excellence and innovation, Kennedy Day School fosters the development of meaningful skills and positive self-concept in a caring and supportive learning environment.
