In the Summer of 2010, Franciscan Hospital for Children broke ground on the new home of the Kennedy Day School allowing us to better serve the more than 70 children who travel each day from 35 communities in eastern Massachusetts.
The new, 20,000 square foot school will have larger, more flexible classrooms; plenty of space for a wide variety and volume of specialized adaptive equipment; and layouts specifically designed with our students’ needs in mind. It will now also be possible to accept additional students in need of our specialized services. The current school will remain open and operational until construction is complete in the Summer of 2012.
