Thanks to hundreds of generous friends, we recently completed some exciting new projects! Learn more about some recent capital improvements below:

Newly Expanded McLean-Franciscan Inpatient Mental Health Unit

Thanks to hundreds of friends and donors, we opened our newly expanded McLean - Franciscan Inpatient Mental Health Unit earlier this year.  

Sadly, the number of children in severe mental health crisis who need inpatient treatment far outweighs the number of available beds in the state. Often, children spend several days in a chaotic Emergency Room while waiting for an appropriate program to be located.

With the opening of our expanded unit, the number of children we can help has increased from 20 to 32 —  a 60% increase! The expanded unit includes bedrooms, classrooms, and living rooms, and is bright, safe, and comfortable.

Our next project is to raise funds so that we can finish renovating the original unit. We are hoping to add some great new safety features.
