Thanks to hundreds of generous friends, we recently completed some exciting new projects! Learn more about some recent capital improvements below:
Newly Renovated Rooms on the Community Based Acute Treatment Program Unit (CBAT)
Three key rooms: a reading room, game room and living room on the CBAT Unit have been transformed into vibrant living areas with fresh paint, new furniture, new carpeting, new books, games and other accessories. The renovated rooms will serve as community areas for the residents of the unit - children and adolescents receiving short-term treatment for behavioral and emotional problems. This makeover was made possible by Cardi's Furniture and Mike-FM, long-time friends of Franciscan Hospital for Children.

Tim "Wake" Field
A new Ballfield made of soft synthetic fiber with protective shock padding named in honor of our friend Tim Wakefield of the Boston Red Sox. This Ballfield allows for greater access for our patients who are wheelchair bound. The Tim "Wake" Field was recently dedicated to mark its official opening. This project was made possible through funding provided by a generous group of friends and supporters of the Hospital.
