Margaret Gutierrez, MD
Dr. Margaret Gutierrez graduated and received her Doctor of Medicine in 1982 from Harvard Medical School. After medical school, Dr. Gutierrez completed her Residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Boston.
She received her Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. Since then, Dr. Gutierrez has served as an educator as well as a clinician. She was Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine. She’s worked as a Pediatrician for Boston Public Schools, Dimock Health Center and Carney Hospital.
Most recently she served as Medical Director for the Boston Department of Youth Services. Over her tenure, she’s been involved in committees devoted to Community Outreach, Infectious Disease and Medical Education. Dr. Gutierrez’s favorite part of being a Pediatrician is seeing children go through life’s stages.
When given the opportunity, she encourages adolescents to make healthy choices. She believes in educating families and patients so they can make the choices that are right for them. Dr. Gutierrez was raised in Texas and speaks fluent Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Dentelle and Rouge. Her hobbies include ballet, yoga, Pilates and skiing.
