Deb Iovanna is Senior Nurse Leader and Infection Control Coordinator.
She’s been a nurse at Franciscan Hospital for Children for many years and brings to her role not only clinical expertise but a keen understanding of the hospital and the special population it serves.
She received her Diploma in Nursing from the Catherine Laboure School of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts. She is an AHA BLS instructor and has her CPN (Certificate in Pediatric Nursing). Deb is also a member of the Organization of Nurse Leaders (ONL.)
Over the years, she has been a staff nurse, charge nurse and nurse manager. Changing roles over the years has made her familiar with the breadth of nursing practice across the hospital. Currently as Nurse Educator, she is responsible for helping develop and implement plans to address the educational needs of the nursing staff. As the Infection Control nurse, she leads the hospital’s infection control program assuring that the utmost attention is paid to preventing infections and educating staff about infection prevention techniques including the use of proper hand hygiene.

Deb looks forward spending time with her husband, children, 2 grandchildren and family and friends when she is not at work.
