Carrie Barlow PT PCS, Director, Physical and Occupational Therapy


 

Carrie Barlow, PT PCS, is the Director of Physical and Occupational Therapy at the Franciscan Hospital for Children.  Board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Pediatric Certified Specialist, Barlow has had a long interest in pediatrics and developmental disabilities.  Barlow uses innovative aquatic therapy techniques with patients at the Franciscan’s Smith Family Pediatric Therapy Pool, and recently co-authored “Implementation of an Aquatic Physical Therapy Program at a Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospital: Case Study,” published in the Journal of Pediatric Physical Therapy in 2009.  She has also presented programs on “Physical Therapy in Natural Environments” and “Feeding Experience.”

 

Barlow is a graduate of the Russell Sage College in Troy, NY and has previously held positions with the Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury, MA, Webb Easter Seal Center in Charleston, SC and Nashua Memorial Hospital in Nashua, NH
